Congrats on your new system....

Well you can always look on the bright side--your new 8887 might actually save you some money. It will keep u plenty busy and occupied, which will keep you from going out too often and spending money, lol...saving you some gas money, eating out, movies, etc...hope you don't have a girlfriend, lol.

USing it

AHH, I have had it for about 2 days now.
I think its the best laptop computer I have had yet. Its about as hot as my old Inspiron 8000 laptop. My only complaint was the hard drive kept making a clicking noise...like the scraping of your fingernail on the edge of a book. but that was fixed by setting the hard drive to max. performance in the Intel Applications Accelerator menu.

I keep missing my SETI@Home results before they get posted and combined into the total, but i think it takes it about 3.6 hours (guesstimate) to do a workunit.

Using the new 6298 or 6292 ( i cant remember the exact number) S-Seven drivers, i get 917 on 3dMark03.

In Unreal2 and Counterstrike gameplay is as smooth at 1600 x 1200 (with a couple textures at medium, world textures at high) as my AMD 1900 w/ a Geforce4TI 4600. It looks good too.

Now I need to load up BF1942 and C&C:Generals

ps.... NO DEAD PIXELS
