Invisible Partition

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of formatting my 9300 because I didn't do it when i first received it. Just 1 question I have, there is an invisible partition worth 2GB. I have 3 partitions now: C, D, and E. I just want to format C. If I just format C, will it get rid of that 2GB invisible partition as well? I ask because I don't see no drive letter assigned to it in Disk Management. I don't wanna fornat C and still have that thing lying around.

Thanks everybody.

It's probably unallocated space. Use partition magic and resize your partitions so you get to use that extra 2GB ;-)

In Partition Magic, it says DELLUTILITY. Can I just format it in partition magic?

This is the diagnostic partition, I'd keep it just in case... often times they ask for error codes no matter what you're trying to replace. When my screen had a dark spot, they still wanted an error code from the diagnostics, even though it was generated from me saying the colors on screen weren't perfect.

Thanks for the response OMG1Penguin. I used Partition Magic to delete the invisible partition and then when it restarted it couldn't boot into Windows. So I ended up formatting my C. I just doesn't beat having a brand new formatted system partition
