Help me, I don't have much time (mp3 player)

i know this is the second post in some months, but I was decided on the iAudio 5 1GB.

Since I need to buy one this week (at most Wednesday Jan 4th), and the IAudio 5 is out of stock everywhere and is now $170-something (opposed to $120-something few weeks ago), I need a second option in case I do not buy the iaudio.

I was thinking about this iriver (iFP 799T 1GB):

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...lance&n=172282

but it does not work as a USB mass storage device. On net, there are ways of doing do, but only as usb 1.1 for what i've read.

My needs:
- very portable
- 1 GB flash
- AA/AAA batteries
- need to function as usb mass storage
- usb 2.0
- $150 or $160 at most

any brilliant ideas for a last-minute deal ?

thanks and have a great new year!

My GF's parents got this for me for Christmas. Really easy drag and drop, no bundled software needed. Has built in radio (its alright) and a equalizer. Pretty sweet if you ask me. Seems in your price range too.

And can be used as storage

^------ lol

I know the MuVo TX FM. It's the only one I can find in my end-of-the-world city...

Anyway, about the T30, it does have FM radio and doesn't happen to be a UMS device anyway. So, I would get the iFP 799...

Sure it looks like a very good player, but why they are not ums devices?

I was looking at the Iriver T10 also. However, it does not support USB storage mode at all. Somehow IRiver locked it (the US and EU versions, i think).

Is that true? Anyone with the iRiver T10 here?

ps.: if that's true, what they have in mind doing that? forcing people to use windows media player? blah...
