Glad to hear everyone likes the system! The color is one of my favorites, and who doesn’t love Bobba Fett!?

As far as the Kerning goes. DB addressed it well. Most of the art we do is under the direct instruction of our customers. You can't necessarily make a "judgment call" on somebody's $3,000 system.

Chris - welcome to the forums and definitely good work on SC's behalf. I haven't had any detailed work like DB has had, but after two metallic red paintjobs, I have been quite impressed. I am going to have the color shifting rat symbol done next.

In any case, welcome to the forum and thanks for an awesome job on his system (as well as Dragoson's Dragon artwork - I know, nobody else saw the dragon - http://www.notebookforums.com/showpo...postcount=168).

Dam those guys can do some great stuff with paint. DB's looks great and I never saw that dragon before but all I can say is DAM. Hope you get your new card DB and it fixes all your problems and it should I would think. Keep us updated.

Man, I am so confused. Got Luke telling us it won't, and DB telling us it will. Oh well, I'll take your word for it since you have one. Sweeeeeeet. That's a bigass reason for not getting this thing that I'll get to cross off my list.

This appears to be standard Hypersonic language, regardless of how well a system actually performs.

Phenomenal??? Did they really run benchmarks? Did they really burn it in for 72-hours?

With the dual core alone it should be able to keep up, but should beat the Dell. Just checking because I have almost the same rig ordered from Alienware, and that score to me is just scary. That is a great looking laptop you have yourself there.
I agree with hulioni. In addition to Dell's XPS, Sager's 5720 is getting higher benchmarks. Darth's machine should kick all of our assess.

Even though my last purchase was a Sager 5720, I'm hanging around the Hyper forums becuase I'm looking system to replace my current desktop. I couldn't be happier with my 7520, especially considering it's relative mobility, but I still need a saty-at-home workhorse with a lot more storage than the 5720. But I'm becoming more and more disenchanted with Hyper.

Congrats on your new baby DB. i am interested to see the benchmarks on that bad boy. My CX7 mini-beast gets just under 7000 in 3dmark05 so it should be a whopper!

Well, here's hoping that new card fixes your problem. Still, seems like it's a CPU driven issue, not a problem with the GPU.

New card took score from 4697 to 6722.

That is where the score should be. Glad to see the new card is working.

I am SO IMPRESSED with Hyper tech support. Alex from Hyper helped me and let me tell you this guy was flippen great! He and Alison jumped the tech support issue and few minor CS issues and just knocked them dead. This gives me warm fuzzies in places I would rather not discuss with the like of you all

everyone is talking WOW and stuff and DB seems to be ok with this, but with what he spent and waited for this, it seems crazy that he had to return his card. that first 3dmark score was way low. i doubt they even tested it. my opinion. glad it it working fine now and it LOOKS nice, no doubt. but the guts are where it's at with these machines. you seem awfully ok about having to deal with cust support IMMEDIATELY on your NEW machine.

Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control. We try our best to make sure that the customer's experience is a good one.

As far as I am concerned, teh way a company deals with a problem is way more important than having no problems when you first receive the machine. It tells what your future will be with the company. Hyper has compensated me for my wait in incovenience with the delays.

Darth, I am thinking of buying anhypersonic FX7, but I am concerned about overheating. Have you had any problems with your system overheating?

No overheatig at all. My cpu hovers at 51 c. I also use a Lapcool4 religiously.

As someone who owns an online PC shop and ships a lot of notebooks / PC's etc, I can tell you this - hardware can and does get damaged in shipping! It's rare, but we had a desktop recently that tested fine after our build, benched well, was then sent down to our client and bench'd terribly - swapped out the card and all was fine.

It is really reassuring to hear that you had such a great experience with hypersonic DB. I of course have been looking at your notebook for quite some time. I deffinitely want to get something custom from hypersonic/smooth creations. I have been tossing back and forth debating to get a smaller notebook (MX-6) to be more mobile and just use my 5720 as my desktop, or to get a bigger FX like yours and use my 5720 as the mobile. Unfortunately, even though the 5720 is semi-mobile, I would like something a bit more mobile. (and it would be fun to show off!) I am afraid that I will need to be more mobile in Japan, and the 5720 will become cumbersome to tote around everywhere.
So, I think I am going to go with the MX-6. I PM'd Chris who had posted earlier. But I am not sure if he is on here much. What exactly did you have to send to them (or hypersonic) to get the custom artwork done?
I am trying to come up with a "kitty"esque theme ^_^

High res jpg. Ask to deal with Smooth directly to avoid communication issues like the font on my lappy
