IRQ NOT CONFIGURED: Pci Network Controller on Motherboard: Bus:0A Device:05 Function:

That's the error anytime I flash with the approved alienware bios and has since the beginning,

In desperation to make things WORK and tech support was not helpful, I went to a SAGER bios which worked like a charm. (but I still have issues with the FANS NOT running correctly or autodetecting w/o using getthermal to just force the fans ON).

So I noticed there's a new bios,,, from alienware and flash,, walla,, back to this crap while booting.

all my other issues, I have solved on my own. I upgraded my harddrives, redid the raid and added 2 more gig (for 3 gig on the laptop) and now things finally work and run fine... outside of the hardware issues I still have.

as a side note, does anyone know if I can replace the onboard wireless card, as it randomly disconnects from the network and refuses to "find" it again until a reboot (however an USB linksys network card will KEEP the very same type of connection while the onboard dies).

Please feel free to talk in techno babble as I'm quite versed in the realm of computers (But apparently not enough for an alienware laptop).

hi, i was wondering i have same problem with the irq thing, where did you obtain the sager bios from, thanks.

Alien Kid, that post is 2 years old, doubt he'll come back to answer.

I have no idea where to find sager's drivers and downloads, sorry.

this worked for me when i got this error -

go into your bios, and if you are anything like me, i like all that i don't use disabled in the bios, and re-enable anything disabled (serial, ir, parallel, card reader) and set the Reset Configuration Data to Yes and restart saving settings...this has worked for me many times

lemme know if that worked for ya!
