Do I have to do anything special to replace HD in i6000?

I am trying to replace the 40GB samsung drive that came with my i6000 with a 60GB Hitachi 7k100. The drive fits in the tray and slides right in the bay, but the bios tells me "Internal HDD Hard error!". I can't tell if the HD has power or not. Is there anything special I need to do to use this HD? Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I guess I need to pay more attention to what I am doing next time. The old HD had some sort of adaptor on the pins. I removed the adaptor from the samsung and put it on the HD. Things seem to be working now.

LOL... Glad you fixed it... and a handy hint to others that wish to replace their driver

don't feel bad, this happens to 90% of the folks that swap out their drive.
