My Ibook G4- What should I do?

Thread Starter
I bought my 12" ibook g4 in August 2005 (my first mac). I would really like to get one of the Verizon broadband Ev-DO pc slot cards, but the ibook g4 does not have a slot. I could not find a vendor that makes an external PCMICA card reader using USB.

1. Does anyone know of a External PC slot card reader?

2. Should I sell my ibook on Ebay and buy a Powerbook 12". What would I get
for the ibook g4 on Ebay. Machine has some light scratches on the white case. Or should I wait for the new intel based chips?

any suggestions would be certainly appreciated.

if u sell you should sell now, because if apple does deliver the new line or powerbooks/ibooks, then your ibook's value will automatically drop down.

there should be external pc slot card readers using usb to connect but i cant name any, a quick google should do it.

and depend on the specs ive seen ibooks go anywhere from 800-1200 depending on the setup.

assuming it has bluetooth as a newer iBook you should simply get a BT and ev-DO phone. that's the best way nowadays to do the cellular web access. just use the cell phone to handle the web access and the BT to make use of it on your iBook.

you would have to get the 15 inch PB the 12 doesnt have the pc card slot

again, if the iBook has bluetooth, simply get a bluetooth capable phone to take advantage of cellular web access on your iBook. most ppl i know of on PCs or Macs that have BT built in do it this way.

Umm, didn't we just see an iBook refresh and a new line of Powerbooks? Like, in the last 4 months?
