targus los angeles city gear. that thing can hold all kind of stuff though it really puts a strain on your shoulder. weighed 7.2 kg at the airport.

i also use the kensington contour backpack, real comfortable even with the plastic lumbar support being broken because of me just throwing the bag around with all my heavy books in it

I bought a Targus XL for my XPS Gen2 for like $60. Its light, not that buff or thick (hate those), fits my 17inch laptop perfectly..

Same here. I got this bag:

The only 17 incher they had, and I love it. I'm so happy with it. And the fact that I work at Best Buy and got it for just $30 was nice too, but I would have paid $60 for it. It's well worth it.

I also bought the xl online for ~60.00 new (compared to best buys $90). It is friggin' huge, for this thing I dont think ill need a second carryon luggage for overnight business trips. Whoever said you could fit 3 laptops in it wasnt lying, and you would probably still have room for a text book or two, not to mention your cell phone, ipod, a switch and second external hd to boot.

I use a Pakuma Akara K3 backpack - extremely well designed, easily takes the weight of the laptop without killing your shoulders and can pack a lot of other accessories too. Very importantly it looks nothing like a laptop backpack, the Dell XPS backpack might as well say 'Steal me' instead of XPS along the back.

Works great and is the best bang for the buck! Also its simple to add additional storage compartments.. Just slide another one inside this one! The ultimate in expandability.. Your just cant go wrong!

I have the Folee XL. If you can spare the cash, Booq's fit and build quality is exceptional. Also before you order from Booq, do a internet search for the bag prices by other Booq resellers. The resellers sometimes sell the bags at a slight discount. Booq will price match for 30 days from purchase. I saved $10 that way.

The Targus xl is awesome. I fly all the time. Works like a charm. Fits in the overheads and way easier to deal with than a pull type thingie. Carries a ton of stuff besides.

I have a Timbuk2 Commute XL. The sleeve is a bit short on depth. I have about 0.5 inch exposed with my XPS2. I can still secure the laptop with the built in Vecro strap. Check out the pictures in the review, you will know what I mean. The bag is large enough for my laptop, power supply, 25 CD spindle, a rolled up jacket (or sweat shirt), and all my laptop nicknaks (2nd hard drive, card reader, cables, cables, and more cables). Yes, I carry a lot of junk. The laptop sleeve is somewhat collapsable, so you can also use it as a regular bag. I occasionally use it to carry my cycling junk.

Here's a review of the bag:

I think the bag has been discontinued, but I have seen them in stores. You might still be able to pick one up.

By the way, I had a Folee Messenger 17. The bag was way too ridgid. It had just enough space to carry my laptop, power supply, and a couple of nicknaks. The bag was pretty well made and looked nice, but far less utilitarian.

i had ordered a power sleeve xxl for my laptop from booq but then i cancelled cuz i realized a sleeve was just going to be a waste fo rme, id rather have a messenger bag to hold more stuff then have a small glove fit my laptop and still have to carry it by itself or stuff it in a backpack.

Brenthaven 17" duo is an awesome bag. I got mine online for $143.00

the XPS gen 2 backpack I got with my XPS gen 2 works great, not to mention after my % off it was like $40 =P =). Big enough for my XPS gen 2 and my books.

I got a Kensington sport backpack for Christmas. Great bookbag... it's very comfortable, my 9300 is snug and well protected, and doesn't advertise "laptop bag- come steal me" all over it.

Plus there's still enough room for a textbook and notebook.

If you're lucky, you'll find one on ebay for about $50.

We shall see in "7 Working Days"
You will need to mod that bag to make it work with the 9300.
Note that there are two bags: one for the 700m and another for the 8200.

You want the one for the 8200, which you will mod.
The bag has the capacity for the 9300, but the bad design restricts it from playing nice with large notebooks.

I got the free laptop bag from Dell...it's the 17" Dell bag for the inspiron laptops. I have to say, even though it's made in China...the quality of the bag is above average. If anything, it's actually superior to a lot of other name brand bags.

Samsonite Laptop Sport Backpack

This is a great backpack that looks nice, and has so many zippered pockets for organization that it's almost silly. There's a lot of padding for protection as well, and the 9300 fits perfectly. One reason i like the backpack more than a satchel type case, is because i think it looks more 'casual', and thus, less prone to theft.
When you see people lugging around satchel type or briefcase type bags, it's obviously a laptop and you often dont want that kinda attention. I go to college and the backfit just fits right in and melts into the crowd without as much suspicion. I also find it more versatile and able to hold more items, if necessary.

Another nice thing about this bag is that it has a quick access zipper for easy and quick access to the laptop. The rear of the backpack is heavily padded so it's very comfortable against your back and lumbar area.

Take a look at the 227 reader reviews about it for more details.
