The big question about Sager

This question might seem to belong in the Sager forums, but it's not. Please read on, and don't transfer it.
So, Are they really good?
I'm asking this because I'm on the market for a new gaming laptop. Up until today I have never heard about Sager. I know all the big names: HP, Toshiba, Dell, IBM etc. and I have never heard about Sager. I can definitly see that there are many people here who appriciate this company, that's why I'm posting this message in this forum, and not the Sager forum: Is Sager a good company? If I am to buy a computer from them, I need to be sure, because paying 2000$+ for a laptop is a very big deal for me, I'm not drowning in cash and this amount was very hard for me to get. Also, not being from the states, I won't be able to use the customer service except for a very good reason, in which I would have to send the damn thing accross the ocean. I wish to minimize that chance, but on the other hand, there isn't another semi-known company who is selling a laptop with the FX-7 series for such a nice price. I need to know if there are many people (I am realistic enough not to ask if there are ANY) who got really burnt by Sager? Who got a really defective product? How good is a Sager computer in the long run?

Please help me, before I make the order... In any case, I'm considering the 5270 (does it matter if it's C or V if I customize it anyway?)

Thanks!

The 5720 is one of most amazing laptops i have ever seen.
It is good. Sager doesnt need to spend lots of money marketing, all they need to do is sell good Clevo notebooks, and they do just that.

You wont regret getting the 5720.

Sager is as good if not better than any laptop that is on the cutting edge of technology.

You will of course have some heat issues with a high speed desktop chip in a laptop, but you should expect that.

With the new 5720, I would say Sager may have surpassed the Dell XPS in quality.

Buying the unit from a good reseller is another must, they can go to bat for you if it is ever needed.

I heard about Torque alot, most are good things. I guess I might order from them should I decide on the Sager. I am almost certain about the 5720. What's the difference between the V and C? and also, are Torque considered good retailers?

There is no major difference in them, its just a marketing ploy to sell the bare minimal configuration and the more expensive configeration. Basically you can ignore the V and C and just configure the notebook to what you want it to be.

make sense?

PCTorque is one of the best Sager resalers out there and they also have very high integrety and standards. Luke and Adam are very kind and will help you with just about any computer problem you have.

The difference between V and C models is that the V has higher default specs. You can turn a V into a C with just a few drop down menu choices.
