I have owned the 600m for about 3 months now. I want to sell it because i can't play high end games. Asking for around 1400 bucks.

Edit: The same config on Dell is about 2000 bucks

512 mb ram (2 256)
64mb Radeon 9000
40 gig hdd (5400 i believe)

And 3 year small business warranty.

Other specs are standard with other 600ms, such as built in Mic and a 24xCD/DVD combo drive... etc.

What's the resolution of the screen? XGA or SXGA+?

Hi,

I think you might actually get more for it than you are asking on ebay, as the 64MB Radeons are no longer available from Dell.

p.s. what hight end games can't you play? My wife has the exact same machine and she's quite happy with the gaming performance.

Well, for some reason my Counterstrike and Natural selection(HL based) are kinda choppy. Overall current gaming is ok like with wc3, but games like NFS:U and possibly newer games this laptop wont hold. And i would very much like the Firewire support. Currently im interseted in the m505x which bost better performance and battery life as well

IntgrSpin: I believe dell still sells the 64mb radeon 9000. I"ve jsut checked.

NoSkillz, are u ralpinto?

I do see that they offer a "64MB ATI". Is it the 9000ATI or the 7500ATI? I can't seem to determine which from the website.

My wife is an avid Morrowind player, and seems to have no problem with it on her 600m. I don't see why you should have choppiness with CS.

i believe its the 9000...

And i dont understand why i cannot run CS smoothly even tho i get some good fps. Could it be that it is 1.4g?
1.4 on a Pentium M should be more than adequate for CS. I have an ATI 9000 64MB on my I8200, and it plays CS super-smoothly, so I doubt it's the card.

Have you tried other 'first person' type games on it? Maybe CS is peculiar... (I haven't tried CS on my wife's 600m), or you maybe had a bad CS install, or you need a driver update or something?

well, Quake3 ran pretty smooth without trouble.... Is quake 3 supposed to be more powerful than hl?
HL was based of the Quake engine. Try defragging the HDD before playing CS/NS.

Through different Nvidia cards, CS was always smooth. Then I got an ATI 9500 Pro 128mb card and everything flew but CS was choppy.

And when I had a 5670 with the 128mb ATI, CS was choppy. With the Nvida solution in my Dell, it's not choppy anymore.

Just my 2 cents.. .

well, i want something around 1300 in my pocket... but i dont know a whole lot about shipping and handling. My guess is that it'd be around 50-100 bucks, so thats around 1400.

well? do u guys think its too much?

You might want to drop the price some, I just went on DELL's Small Business and they have the 600m's starting at $1199 after rebates, they have free memory upgrades, etc.
