You never guess what I saw today on dell.be

Thread Starter
I'm still thinking about my choice of buying a 17" notebook ... between the Fujitsu Amilio 3438 and a Dell 9300. XPS is too expensive.

Today, on www.dell.be, via the link consumenten (free tranlated to Home and Home Office), I just clicked on Meer aanbiedingen van Dell (being more offers from Dell).

Besides lots of Notebooks, Desktops and other stuff, I see the systems below !!! Are they already available? Haven't seen them on any of the .be and .com sites of Dell yet. When are they available. Gonna call tomorrow to Dell.

So this looks very interesting. And the price, which could influence my choice. Don't know what kind of a processor that is, or what quality the screen is, but this is nice.

Hope to see/hear more soon.

Looks like they are rolling em out....

Now if only everyone used the same decimal point convention... about $2.50 for a laptop... mmm...

Dual core 9300 with a 7800? NICE!
Interesting.

Unless it is just an omission, looks like the 9400 gets a non-gtx version of the 7800 (note for the xps specs it does mention gtx).

Does dell typically release new models worldwide or in stages?

So bring on the deals on 9300s.

M90 precision

The M90 is slated to be released in the next few months with a dual core proc so that might be the solution for 15" + decent graphics. Hopefully it will have a 7800 level card in it.

I got an M70 at work last month and its a screamer, though it is by no means a thin and light 15" lappy. Its about 2" thick and weighs a ton. The Quadro 1400 (6800 regular, using stock dell drivers, no tweaking) is roughly 33-40% faster than the X700 in my personal laptop.

Listed on the english link. I might actually get a dual core if it gets me a go7800U at a pricepoint cheaper than the insane prices on the XPS M170.

Get ready for the influx of 9300 sales in the for sale section.
I did some math with the numbers and to got a system like the one I have except the 9400 gets a 1.86 dual core and a 7800 ultra. The retail cost would be, according to my calculations, 1586.33 British pounds. So the conversion to US dollars would comes out to about $2,775.83 (USD) today. That's not a bad price if Dell gives out those 47% off coupons again. I guess I would be in the market for a new computer next Christmas.

Just Called Dell. The sales guy told me that they could book right now, but the new systems should be available on the Dell site by the end of the week.

So, hopefully we can watch these new systems ... and maybe start ordering.

That's disappointing, looks like the 6000 line will not be upgraded right away.

I saw that notebookreview.com also mentions the 9400 series on the Europe Dell sites ... thanks to a thread on this forum, they refer.

But it's the wrong thread, I was the first to mention it here
Dang.
