Hi, this may have been said before (can't find the link), but I am looking for a laptop backpack to carry my textbooks and laptop, (not a side bag but a backpack with a laptop enclosure that can fit a sager 3790 15.4" screen) which brands or backpacks do can you guys recommend.

I looked at Targus but the last Targus laptop carrying case i had got torn so I'm wondering what other options are out there.

Cool I like those metal backpacks although those seem more like they'll be used if your taking your laptop camping or rockclimbing. the booqbags are nice but many of those fit powerbooks (not too sure if it will fit a sager 3790) and are a little too expensive. I've been looking at Ogio backpacks as well, if anyone else uses a laptop backpack what brand do you use and how is its protection and durability.

man, i'd seriously consider getting one of those sleeves for my 15incher,
i think the only one that might fit mine is the Viper L

http://www.booqbags.com/Detail.bok?no=98

but the dimensions are just a tad off...mine are 13.07"(W) X 11.22"(D) X 1.62"(H) (332mm X 285mm X 41.1mm)

i'm concerned that because it doesn't completely conform that it may move around in it...i'm not sure.

i really wanted the Shinza one, but of course the black one is on Back Order. http://shinza.com/product_info.php?p...b2c1d621b3c22f

wonder what i should do? get the booq and hope for the best or wait till Shinza get's back in the stock, the dimensions and the fact that Shinza's actually conform to fit..is one of the reasons for choosing that one.

I love this one. It has plenty of space and lots of pockets.

Same bag Alienware offers with their laptops, sans AW logos...

One of the things i am worried about with having the laptop in my backpack with books is that the books will put pressure against the laptop and cause the keyboard to press up against the lcd screen and leave imprints on the screen. I am wondering is there any material that helps protect against the laptop keyboard from pressing up against the lcd screen?

I own the Booq BP3. It is a great bag. I am currently in medical school and I have a stack of books almost as tall as me. I can fit a 6" stack of books in my bag along with my laptop, charger, mouse, ipod, pens, and a few other things. The bag is a bit pricey, but it comes with a lifetime warranty and it has great laptop protection.

I highly recommend it. If you want some pictures of the bag filled with books and my lappy I would be happy to email you some or even post some here. I have a Ferrari 4005 (15.4" widescreen) so the Booq would fit your Sager nicely.

Also, check out www.shaggymac.com. I think that is the website name (if its not, just Google ShaggyMac). They can make you a custom screen protector (it is a thin cloth that protects your screen while the laptop is closed).
