I just did a quick Google translation from Dutch to English and apparently "Geldig" means "Valid", in English. Does this mean the 9400 is due to be released on the 24th of January?

I just googled the Duo T 2300 and apparently that is a dual core chip
Quote:
The first new Core, or Yonah, chips will range from the 1.66GHz, single-core T1300 to the 2.16GHz dual-core T2600. Intel is expected to dub the chips either Core Solo or Core Duo to highlight the number of processors they contain.

Intel will also offer dual-core T2300, T2400 and T2500 models, which run at 1.66GHz, 1.83GHz and 2GHz, respectively.

... so I would assume that this actaully is a new model.

Surprising it is not an option on the M170. Good find.

I heard that dual core wouldn't be any faster for gaming than the pentium M that already in XPS's. Maybe that means that they are actually slower for gaming. Lol, I tend to hear a lot of things though, and most of it is lies. That could be the reason.

Sooo....can you actually order one (I'd assume preorder if so), or is it just there as a mistake possibly? It says offers from Dell, and it says it expired yesterday, so I'm not exactly sure wth it's saying.

Wow this laptop has a new motherboard, cpu, graphics card, ram, hdd...
Damn thats a lot of upgrades.

And now the question is, when are the 9300s gonna come down in price? Or at least to what they were before they raised the price for Christmas.

Thats gotta be a typo. There are no 7800 ultras for desktop yet so why would it make it's introduction in a mobile version? Must be a finger slip. If not, I'm throwing my brandnew 9300 against a wall so I can collect insurance.

I wonder if this is a typo meaning the GTX or is this a watered down version of the GTX some have been predicting. *edit* lol I was the first one when I started typign...

I think the European format is d/m/y so it means Feb. 1st I believe.

I'd place my bets on the Ultra being a watered down GTX.

Edit: Scratch that, after a little Google work it looks like Dell may sometimes mis-label the GTX as an Ultra.

I've heard and seen that too.

It wouldnt make sense for dell to make there inspiron line more powerful than there xps line, they'ver been specificly banking on making there money from the xps line. I would bet that this 7800 is lower than the gtx (a GT or what have you). Anyone know what those prices are in american dollars?
ULTRA..........drool
the ultra is what the gtx is called in canada too.... just a different naming system...
That ultra is just a misnamed GTX. BTW that looks like its going to be a really nice laptop.

Looks like the UK is getting a better "standard" price than the US is. Maybe it's because of the shorter shipping distance. Either way... it says you must call the number to order them and only those configs are allowed. There is no links for building a 9400 yet.

Altho I give credit for the find of a Dell page showing a 9400... I still don't think it will outperform my 9300 w/7800gtx. So when a 9500 comes around I'll buy another... or better yet I'll stick the next version motherboard inside my 9300 chassis. =)~

Yep I'm done with mine as well until the model comes after the 9400. It might be slightly faster but definitely not enough to warrant an upgrade from my 9300 with GTX.

Clockwork Orange is one of my favorite movies ever; rape, ultra-violence and Bethoven.
