Hooking up Xbox 360 to a XPS gen 2

My dorm room is going to be cramped next semester and being able to play Xbox 360 games at HD definitions would be sweet. TV Tuners to hook up component cables are out of the question, because of the delay and all. So i found this little cable:

"Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable"

Can't this plug into one of the slots in the back of the XPS 2? Would it work?

XPS/9300 chassis's do not have a Video-In jack. You would require a TV Tuner or Video-Input device to achieve this.

It might, but I think thats only like a video out on the xps 2, so it probably won't work.

Like all the other console threads said, even if you did get an HDTV Tuner card, there'd be a noticeable lag between the controller and the screen, created by the extra time it takes for the HDTV Tuner to do its thing.

Yep, sorry dude, you can't connect an xbox360 to your laptop.

My suggestion is to buy Dell's 24" LCD display and have your desktop, laptop, and xbox360 connected to it - it's what I do.

Why would you want to even bother connected an Xbox 360 to a small 17" screen? You need a big screen to see the benefits of HD. Why dont you just invest in a new HDTV or LCD TV for your dorm room?

Yeah, even if it would work, HDTV tuners cost around 150 to 200 for good ones. Just save the bucks, and buy a Dell 2405 or the new 3007w when it's released.

If you could afford an xbox 360, there's no reason you can't save up for a LCD HDTV around 1000 bucks.
