8104-Flash card reader not working

My flash card reader on my 8104 started acting up a couple weeks ago and now it doesn't work at all. Where would I start trying to get this fixed?

Try calling Acer techsupport. But be prepared to send them the whole laptop for several weeks (2 or 3 weeks). Before that you may want to check your flash card on some other computer to be sure that it works and the problem is with the computer rather than with the card itself

mines not working either... any ideas other than sending it back to Acer?
