WTB: Either Gaming Desktop or Gaming Laptop

Thread Starter
Hi all,

I am in need of either a gaming desktop for around 750-1000 or a gaming laptop for 750-1300. I have looked at 9300s with geforce 6800s from dell but by the time I configure and use coupons im still around 1300+. Let me know whats out there.

Thanks

Look into the dell outlet for refurbished 9300s.

They have 6800 17" WUXGA+ DVD+-RW 512MB RAM 1.6Ghz for $1.3k

I have a desktop, my wife uses it currently as I have an even beefier one but I'll try to remember all the specs:
AMD64 3400+
Asus A8n-SLI nForce4 mobo (has integrated NIC and sound)
1GB dual-channel RAM
250GB 7200RPM SATA drive
Radeon 9800 Pro, handles Half-life 2 just fine, play counterstrike on it during LAN parties with no problems
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 (if you dont want this, you can use the integrated sound and I'll keep it, I like it!)
DVD/CDRW and 2 CDRW drives (handy for avoiding CD-swapping and straight across CD copying)
Floppy and Media Card Reader

If you're interested, I'll for sure double-check all of the specs to make sure they're correct, but it should easily fit in the $750 category.

I have a Gaming Desktop that is definately in your price range.

I would also include a few things with it.

But here are the specs......

AMD Athlon XP 2200+
1.8 GHz
1 Gig of Ram
Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2
Plug and Play NVIDIA GeForce 6800 128MB
Sata Raid Array 230 Gig HD Currently Striped with the C: running 115 Gig, and the F: also with 115 Gig. Capable of holding 230 Gig on a single HD.
Plextor CD-RW drive
LG DVD-ROM drive
Floppy Disk Drive
would also come with a 20.1" Viewsonic E90fb Flat Screen CRT Monitor (crystal perfect picture quality)

if you have any questions you can either ask me or the Strafe Right member DARKLOKI. seeing as he is my roomate here at college and can verify the machine's specs and performance.

thank you,
Kyle.

How the hell do you fit an AGP card on a PCI-express Mobo? And that 3400+ looks more like 754 than 939
