should i replace my screen? (animated pic)

* the images aren't exact.

is it just my screen or does yours have that bright border too?

the stuck pixel doesn't bother me much anymore, except while making the images, i couldn't tell if i got the green pixel under the stuck pixel.

but is that pixel considered center area?

will i be able to get a free replacement if other pixels get stuck in a year or so?

i didn't notice the stuck pixel for about a week or two after getting the 8890 with 16" SXGA+.

Most LCDs have some lighter area around the border due to the backlight. It'd be nice to have an actual picture of the screen.

Here's a link to Sager's Pixel policy: http://talknotebooks.com/showthread.php?t=1591

I doubt any camera he'd have can pick up the subtle border lighting, but maybe a close-up of one edge can. Anyway, my border along some parts is ever-so-slightly brighter than the rest of the screen, but this isn't affected by pressing on it. If your border really is similar in brightness to that image then that's strange. Of course I don't have the 8890 and my LCD is different than its.
