Hypersonic-pc Aviator EX7 BURNING UP HEAT!!!

Hi everyone,

I just got my new hypersonic loaded to the gills.
3.8 ghz with EM64T
4GB of memory
240 gb of disk
double dual layer dvd writers
tv tuner
web cam
17 inch monitor 1920x1200
Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX
Piercing Blue color.

Anyway to make a long story short I had a hard drive controller blow on this which I sent back and got fixed but I'm a little concerned that my laptop CPU is running at 62 degrees C that converts to like 144 degrees F? There is a temperture program on the c:\hypersonic directory on my laptop. I assume this is accurate but 62 C on a cpu and 54 C on a hard drive just seems hot?
Anyone have any thoughts on this support says it is hot but I have this on a flat table with NOTHING AROUND it!

Let me know if you have any ideas.

Not hot for a lappy.

I would be concerned if that is your idle temperature. That is what I was getting when I was playing Half Life 2 or the sort, with an idle temperature of about 38-42c. If your idle is 62c, there may be other options.

One thing to also check is to make sure your fans are blowing and not stuck.

One last thing - I have also heard that it makes a big difference depending on the type of surface it is sitting on. I simply raised the rear of my EX7 about 2 inches (a mega block - large lego) and it made the difference.

Good luck!
