i tried, SOB, i could not get over 7500'ish. My machine goes unstable at +9% although i took the video right up to wher you had it.

It was fun but I get crazy watching 3dmark and the next thing you know bf2 is playing on my other machine

I will see if I can get a screen shot of my max. Its nice, I spent $70 more and switched from adeslow sata to high speed pata and get my processor up to 2.12. ALmost like getting a free cpu upgrade! I think my cheap ram may be the cause of the unstability with higher OC'ing.

well i am a big ole liar

with core clock 461 and mem 1.20
cpu OC'd 6% 2.0 to 2.12
39 deg Celsius

not to shabby

465, 1.21
44 degrees Celsisu

and a little better

470, 1.22 at 44 degrees celsius

gonna go one more round and see what she can take. If it makes a few more points I might try the extra 3% on the cPU

470, 1.28 45 deg C

last round see if it can handle +3%
GPU 49 degrees C, CPU 49 deg C
sure can CPU at 1.8 graphics as above

pretty sure this will be last run, no more room to play
but.....

473, 1,29
temps in the 40's
CPU +9
not sure if it will go further....not tonight anyways

I tried, I really did try but CodeName still hold sthe rcord!!!
I will push more later but nice work CD and I think I am damn happy anyways.
now i will go crank it down a bit before carbon and silicon fuse!!

I am going to order the hard drive and a lapcool 4 today. But, my notebook is being sent off to smooth creations today as well. So I will not be able to do anything with it for 2-3 weeks.
Great scores. Although, I have noticed something interesting. If I clock my card to 470+ I get better 3dmark scores, but I get worse performance in games, namely COD2. So I keep my vga at about 460 and 1.23 - anything higher gets me better 3dmark scores, but about 10-20 less fps in COD2.
Well, again congrats on the oc and great scores.

So, who here has replaced their SATA drive with a PATA drive themselves?

Or is everyone having sager make the change?
its not hard to do, but you need an adaptor.
Yeah, and I can only get one through Sager == $$

I'll give em a call tomorrow to ask about pricing.
the adapter should cost you around 5 dollars. its 7 euros in germany so in the usa it should be cheaper.

Sweet! Thanks.

Well it turned out to be $10 + $9 (UPS Ground). I can understand the price for the piece, but UPS Ground for $9 ?!?

Oh, well. If can pay $xxxx for a laptop I can pay a tiny bit more, right?
right
Well, I'm currently running at full +12% but I don't expect that to last when I get to the office (7 machines 10 monitors in one lil office)

I'll run some benchies monday.
why would you risk destroying a $2,700 laptop?
it doesn't destroy anything as long as the temperatures are on a low level. and thats what they are ya know?

So, did anyone have a BIOS for download, or is the one from http://www.mobile-support.net/ working ?

Im actually not asking because I want to overclock, but because I need to up/downgrade because of compatibility issues with Audigy2ZS Notebook and the PCMCIA bus.

Hello everyone,

I have a Clevo M570 (sold by pointersystems.be) with a 80GB sata drive.

I updated to Bios version 08. After reading the whole story here (thx for the effort), I disconnected my SATA drive from the Clevo motherboard and suddenly the Overclock option is in the bios !

So try this trick first before flashing with a new bios. I will try to obtain a PATA connector for this Clevo and ghost my system to a PATA disk.

2,5 inch IDE ATA/100 disks come cheap these days so it is well worth the interface downgrade
