With a little overlcocking I scored 8042. And that's without using optimized drivers or profiles. So i'm pretty impresed with this machine to say the least.

That is a pretty big jump for a little overclocking

I figure personally that this card is so powerful as is that it does not seem necessary at all to overclock for everyday use.

However, for running up those 3DMark scores, it always is nice

Enjoy the system!

michael......whats your set-up?Im getting the FX7 with the FX-60 real soon and was wondering what you had
post #10 of 14
Yeah, sorry it wasn't a little. I can complete 3dmark at 480/1.31 but the nvidia overclock tester will fail if I run it afterwards. So I can do a stable overclock at 475/1.31 (that's where I got 8042).

Make sure you do a [Fn][F2] before playing games if you're overclocking.

Fn f2 doesnt do anything in the new bios. There's no fan control

Fungo - your system is different than the one they are talking about. See my other post. It was either FN+F10 or F11 or something. I have been trying to do a searcch, but I get a error. But your bios does have fan control built in - unless a newer version of the BIOS took it out, and that doesn't make sense.

Good luck!

Just wanted to correct what I stated above. The FN+F2 does appear to be the correct combination. I think I confused it with my old GX7.

Sorry for the confusion.

I am thinking about buying a FX7, but I am worried about overheating. Have you had any problems with overheating? Does the processor slow down? How many watts does the computer draw?
Thanks
