Never Mind..I found it here . Apparently as per this link the chipset in the 8890 is the 865PE chipset. The version of the driver that comes on the driver CD is 5.00.1012, and the latest version on Intel's site is 5.02.1003

different versions, what's best guys?

Very interesting...

I am using 5.01.1006. Works ok.
Must have been sitting on the driver disk that I received on Sept 4th 2003.

What to do, upgrade? RAID Edition?

I believe the RAID edition is only for SATA RAID. I wish their was an update to raid, as I have a period of high disk activity periodicly when using raid. I have since stopped using it because it will pause a game or video when it happens. Anyone else had this problem?

Nandro, I doubt it has anything to do with RAID. It is more likely some XP background process doing something on disk. Check your process list (enable the paging stats in the task manager) you may find it.
