It's FFDSHOW. Try P2P instead of download sites. Many people have it, you can have it off them.

Well, the reason that the videos are distorting are because they are probably lower resolution than your native screen resolution. From what I know, there isn't really a way to change this, because any kind of zoom will distort lower resolution videos no matter what. The reason that lower res videos distort is also because when you "zoom", you are making them work at a higher resolution, therefore expanding it. Two of the lower resolution pixels become two, etc. Good luck though

yea my screen res is at 1920 x 1200 but i figured there might be a way to get it to be better when i go into full screen since it is a dvd

More advanced scaling algorithms make the output look quite crisp--look at upscaling DVD players -> 480i source (DVD) upscaled to 1080i HDTV resolution.

The better ones do a noticeably better job than your standard scaler.

I should note however: The scaled-up source won't look as good as true video recorded @ 1920x1080 (or 1920x1200).

FFDSHOW does this (among lots of other things)--that program is tweakable!

I just downloaded FFDSHOW. So basically I install it and it will improve playback in all other players? I used VLC mainly; im still trying to figure out this ffdshow.
