Apple Care (APP) Worth Buying?

Going to go grab an Apple laptop sometime this week after the Apple Expo. Is it worth getting the extra protection?

The protection plan is very expensive.

However the service is pretty good (in my experience really good actually). You get a 1 year warranty anyway, and if your planning on keeping hold of it for about four years it is definately worth it.

Also it seems that Rev A models of new apple laptops tend to have minor issues (and some major - I think there was a problem with the logic board in the Rev A G4 iBooks) and so its probably worth having in case any crop up later on.

best prices i've bumped into are the academic prices from apple or LA Computer Company

Yeah, I would get it. Especially if you can take advantage of the education discounts, save $110.
