Hey, shasha, what do you predict the speeds of the Geforce go7400 will be similar too? More like the 6600go/x700 or the 6400 go/x600? I'm hoping it runs around 2.2k in 3dmark05

f dual core, just give me a core solo at a lower price, lower power consumption, and thin chassis with some reasonable video pwer @ sxga and i'm a happy man.

I really don't want to jump to conclusions...
You will have to wait and see for the numbers, but the 7400 will be a very nice performer for the cost.
If anything else, take a look at the specs.

Hmm, should have thought of that in the first place lol. *checks nVidia's website*

nVidia sure likes to beat around the bush

Looks like it's definitely not going to be Geforce 6600 level performance though . The memory interface is only 64 bits, and the fill rate is less than that of the 6600. From nVidia's info given, I am guessing it will be a 4 pipeline card.

I just checked in w/ my local computer store (central computers) and they just got the new intel duo cpus but haven't recieved the notebooks yet. So it seems that they're going to arrive a bit earlier?

Any idea yet what kinds of price tags A7J-series are going to get? At least in Germany, the A6Ja is goes only for about 1300-1500 euros... May we thus expect the A7Ja to go for about 1800-2000 euros or even a bit less?

And, will we see a price drop in the older models, like A7VC...

Ah, all the questions that roam in my head...

I remember reading somewhere that the X1400s aren't that good...

Oh right found it. Here's the 3DMark pic, from the Acer section here.

(linked cause it's a little big)

And where did you get the info on the Go 7xxxs? The only thing I've seen anything about is the desktop 7300. They haven't released the 7600 yet which is why I'm curious where you're getting your info.

But none of us know about he X1300 and X1400.

My guess:

X1300 would get above ~2000 3dMarks05
X1400 would get ~3000 3dMarks05

But i could be totaly wrong, we are not sure right now

And from what we've seen about the Nvidia stuff, they look pretty pathetic.
The Go 7200, 7300, 7400, 7600 are all just OK... but we all know the 7800 and 7800GTX pwns , same for the 6800 and 6800U .

But if the X1300 and X1400 do get lower 3dmarks05 to what i have said, then it would make ATI and Nvidia on basicaly the same page.

But Cudos to ATI for having better techonology in cooling and increasing performance IE the X1600 for 15.4" notebooks.

But handsdown the NVidia are superior in portable gaming with their 6800, 6800U, 7800, 7800GTX, whereby ATI can only compete with thier X1800 which we have no info of.

Thanks,

eh whatever, the X1400 and X1300 are not nearly as good as a X1600 or near to an X700.

X1300 is about 1400 3dMarks05
X1400 is a overclocked X1300 getting about 2000 3DMarks... which is similiar to the X700.

As for the Go Series... just wait and watch till they release what they got... we are all curious...

But from what I've read STICK with ATI, because their GPU is VISTA compatable basicaly X300 and beyond will run Vista, plus ATI is offering alot of technology rite now...

As for Nvidia im not sure, but people say that they will start to offer similiar things just when vista is released...

Personaly im an Nvidia fan, but heck who cares who you like more... which ever offers better technology im game!

Thanks,

Receiving V6J on next week

The ASUS V6J is finally reaching Norwegian stores. I am receiving the notebook on thursdag next week. Anyone know anything about the videocard in that PC?
Well, if the difference is the same as in some other countries, A6J will have x1600 with 128MB memory, while A6Ja will have x1600 with 256MB memory. I don't remember having seen any other differences between the models.

I'm going to order my A6Ja next week...

More information

Just to keep you all updated, Justin from Proportable over at www.notebookreview.com released this information about upcoming Asus Core Duo models for this first quarter in this thread
Can't wait for the W3j, I'm so impressed that they're going to pack a 256mb x1600 in that little chassis...awesome.

Hope that helps,
Steve

That W3j is either gonna be a bestseller, or a flunker(If the heat/battery quality doesn't decline)

i haven't seen pictures of the black w5 series much.. and i think it looks sweet.. I have a z71v, hoping to get my hands on a more portable laptop .. w5f looks like 1 i want, but then i don't know if i shud wait for 64bits to come out or not, and i don't know if i want a 12.1 inch of a 13.3inch screen

what do guys think about the black oppose to the pearl white w5, is it nicer? stays newer cuz of da color or the complete oppposite?
Could you get some more shots of the V6J?
Wow, the V6J is a big step down from the V6Va. It's got a weaker video card and no IPS screen. That's surprising that a newer model is that inferior to the one it replaces.
