Sorry...I forgot to post it here , I was actually busy doing benchmark and photo threads so people can see how it performs and how it looks.

I juat got my notebook

I will have a nice 2-3 post review coming soon covering games, work, and general use. also I plan on including PAN shots full screen comparisons and tons of screens to show everybody the highres monitor

I just chatted with an Asus rep today, and she told me the W3j can not be upgraded to Merom's by us (end users). Can anyone confirm that?

Well, she probrably said that since they don't recommend it, since it will void the warranty, etc etc etc.

But I'm pretty sure its possible, as long as ASUS releases an updated Merom BIOs for it.

It would be pretty hard for ASUS to release an update for this, if it voids the warranty...

All joking aside, we'll just have to wait and see if this update plays out.

Yeah...the lady said something about the CPU being welded onto the motherboard and thus can not be replaced. I think she was referring to the GPU, not the CPU, since most of the CPU's can be upgraded anyway.
