I noticed that when I upgraded my X300 to a 6800 Ultra Go my battery life life dropped considerably. this was expected, of course, but what I would like to know is there a significant difference between the battery life from a 7800 GTX GO and a 6800 Ultra Go.

Thanks!

The desktop version of the 7800GTX had much less power consumption and heat production than the 6800Ultra, I think the mobile versions followed the same trend.

Considering the cores are the same... I believe K6 is correct.

Ok, now, Has anyone got detailed info? Like, I upgraded to a 7800 GTX Go and my battery life increased from 2 hours to 2.5 hours? Or things like my load temperature for my CPU decreased from 55C to 45?

How about "I have 2-3 times the graphics performance with the SAME battery life"??? Because all of us that have upgraded haven't noticed a decrease in battery life yet... but our performance has shot up thru the roof. =)

Well, it's not the subjective information you're asking for, but here's a chart comparing the desktop versions of the 7800GTX and 6800 Ultra. The Ultra consumes slightly less under load, and slightly more at idle.

I lost about 15 min according to the little battery meter guy. Like the other fellow saud, you'll never miss the 15min of battery considering the massive leap in performance.
