i9kfangui vs. Nvidia drivers 7800gtx GO

I assume this is one of many threads, my questions is simply: How do these two read the temperature, since one of them clearly has a software-based flaw. It would appear to me that i9kfangui is correct- I doubt that the 7800GTX idles at 57°C, up from 49°C on the 6800Ultra. Currently i9kfangui is reading 51°C.

Nope actually the nvidia temperature base software is correct. Remember those software are made for the card. I9fangui is off by 6c sometime even more. I use NVTempLogger to monitor my idle and gpu load. After apply AS5 and letting it sit for 2-3 days my idle from 55-57c has drop to 50-51c idle. Haven't tested load yet but for CS:source it spike up to 73c but overall it average around 68-69c when gaming. You have to use i9fangui 2.3 beta to get the correct temperature, but I went to the forum and no luck of getting the 2.3 beta so im sticking with nvtemplogger until the beta become offical.

You can get 2.3 beta here. There is an "external beta" for public consumption.
