Escrow Service Advice?

I'm currently looking into buying a laptop, probably from
someone on this board but fraud/scamming is a big concern
of mine if it's going to be shipped. Has anyone dealt with
an online escrow service before? Something like escrow.com?
If you guys can list which ones are reputable, or your experiences
with them in general, that would be helpful. Thanks.

Escrow.com or Squaretrade however if you want to save on fees I'd look at getting a mod or someone with very hight heat to do it for you guys...

I'm not too concerned about the fees, I just want
to be completely sure there's a secure, safe transaction.

definately ONLY escrow.com or squaretrade. DONT GET FOOLED BY ANY OTHER LOOKALIKE... Trust me, I've seen many, ecrow.com, esrow.com, and if you dont look carefully at the link (AND ALWAYS TYPE IT IN YOURSELF, NEVER FOLLOW OTHER'S LINKS) you could be fooled... Always think paranoid online

Does anyone know how paypal buyer protection works?
Will I be eligible for a purchase on this forum, or only
if the transaction occurs through ebay?

Are there any trading services out there? All I see is options for buying and selling, nothing for trading.
