Acer Aspire won't power on

My Acer Aspire 3500 will not turn on. Any ideas or has anyone else had this happen? Notebook was purchased in August/05

Hi,
My acer aspire 5000 would not turn on and the problem was random. Sometimes whenever i selected the restart operation operation from windows it would shutdown but not restart. The laptop was brand new and the problem i noticed was within 3 days. Atleast yours is not random. I took it to the acer service centre and i could not replicate there. So i told him to keep the laptop under observation. The next day he found out that the laptop would not start. I had to wait for a week to get it serviced. The service is pathetic. It is a motherboard problem and they finally changed it.

Hi, as the laptop is still in it's warrenty period I suggest you contact Acer Repair in your country and have them take it in, you mat well have either a power supply problem or a faulty motherboard...

try holding down the power button to hard reboot

Hi, sorry for bringing up an old topic, but my acer aspire 5024 literllay just stopped turning on!

A program crashed and i was forced to do a hard reboot, and now when i turn it back on nothing appears. The power led is lit, and the fan comes on, the hard disk led blinks once, but no bios screen appears or nothing.

Could this be motherboard or hard disk related?

Thanks alot if anybody can help
