Antec Cooling - Tray??

Question for you guys who own one.....

Can you use it as a lap tray? Say, while you're on the couch sprawled out?

I really dig the item, but I want it to be used as I need it (on my lap) as well as on a flat hard surface.

If it's not feasible, any idea where I can get such an item?

Thanks in advance!

I would say noo.. and out of the ten notebook cooling pads i've seen so far, all of them were meant for a flat surface.

The answer is plywood!

I have seen lap desks and cooling pad but none are combined lapdes with colling fans! sound like a great window of oportunity for anyone with the means to invent one. I myslef use a piece of laminated plywood! Worrks pretty goo can long on my couch and play CoD rather comfortably.
may be if i cut a few holes in it and install extra unused case fans init that might work! Hmm but how do i power the darn thing!

Hmm glue this to plywood and that might be jsut crazy enough to work!

may flip one of the fans though then you get one intake from the bottom an one exhaust.

Since i own one i can give you a pretty good answer i think. The case with the antec cooler is this: dont cover the fan openings with your lap, if u can open your legs where the fans are (2 in a line down the middle of the plate) you should be perfectly fine! But im sure it works BEST on a flat surface. Or it may be easier to rotate the whole plate 90 degrees for your lap, it seems doable
