i was planning on getting the mx7515 from best buy, but they no longer carry them here , is there a new version from gateway due out?

Yes. mx7525 is the replacement. Exact same except they doubled the video memory.

wait for the sale of the 7525gx. They always seem to do a sale within the first month of their new laptop coming out.
