Well, in all honesty, my laptop does come darned close to a sager.
It's an apple powerbook G4 1GHz Superdrive model.
Say what you want about Apple, but the majority of the time when people flame apple, it's out of ignorance. For example, with Mac OS X, I have a UNIX that can run Photoshop, MS Office (which I seldom-never use anyways,) All the iApps (REALLY good), and any windows app (thru virtual PC.)
The 1GHz processor gives me about as much power as a 2.4-2.8GHz P4, I don't know whether it rivals the 3Ghz, but it's really on a task-by-task basis. It's fast enough though.
The SuperDrive allows for burning of DVD. Sagers need this option!
The Radeon 9000 Mobility 64MB is the same card as many of the top sagers.
The 5 hours of battery life is a nice feature, as is the fact that this weighs only 5 lbs and is an inch thick.
Again, the OS is FAR better than Windows, and FAR better than Linux. It's based on FreeBSD so it has all the bells and whistles like memory management and preemptive multitasking. The only real gripe is the fact that there's no DDR ram and that the resolution is 1280x854, rather than something a bit higher. It works though.
Then again, i'm asian, so I like small things
