Yes it is... however, you won't see too much of a performance gain (if at all)

What does that do? Just allow 2 extra programs to be prefetched?

Always being the speed enthusiast, I did some research on this, and I couldn't find anything to verify that setting that to 5 makes any sense.

Most all sites provide this info, saying that 0 means no prefetch, 1 prefetches applications, 2 prefetches boot, and 3 prefetches everything. So, unless 5 prefetches everything plus two, I don't see how it'll make a difference. It probably won't break anything either, but yeah.
