Getting mixed messages

Thread Starter
I am looking to get a 9750. After reading through this forum, I am having a hard time figuring out whether the Sager computer is a reliable laptop, and also whether pctorque is a good reseller to buy from. Some posts say that pctorque is the best, where others say that it is really hard to get them to service their laptops. Also, by the shear number of posts in the support forum, it is looking like the Sager brand is riddled with problems.

I would appreciate if I could get some assurance of the quality of Sager as well as the quality of service from pctorque.

Thanks.

Well in my opinion Sager is a hands on type of computer. Support is not very good like the major companies. However, they offer great value for the same product. You have to ask yourself do you want to pay for product or service. If you know what your doing when it comes to computers such as technical stuff then Sager all the way for the price. If you don't know much about computers I would say go with someone with a larger tech support base. However, these forums and the people who read them have worked wonders for me and my issues.

Some Sagers can be a hit or miss proposition. Such as the super high powered 9890's (and past versions of them[no offence to their owners]) and the 5320. I agree that for the most part Sagers are for hands on people. You should know a little about computers if you have one.

I have a 5320 and have been happy with it but unfourtenetly others with the same lappy have troubles with that model.

Support through PCTorque is great though. But if you have to contact Sager itself you may have some trouble.

You should also note, that any laptop is more susceptable to problems than a desktop. All that heat in a very confined space can be damaging to a computer.
