Auto Mail Checker v1.33

Has anyone got an idea how I set up this program with a HTTP web-based e-mail (i.e. hotmail)?
I'm no expert on such things, so I don't even know what 'Host', 'User ID' or 'Port' info I have to put in the program.
I called my ISP helpdesk and they had no idea of what I was talking about.

Anyone got any ideas please?

This program is for POP3 accounts only. If you have a POP3 mail account you should know the server/user/password.

the port should not be changed from default 110 unless you are running a POP3 server on a non-standard port.

I hear what you're saying and I believe I have a POP3 e-mail account, however the first thing Auto Mail Checker asks you enter is the 'Host'. I am not sure what goes into this box, is it a bunch of figures and numbers (like an IP address) or a name (like the ISP name)? Like I say, my ISP helpdesk didn't know what I was talking about or asking.

I do, however, know whay my User ID is.

Can you give me an idea of what I put in the 'Host' box, i.e. what format, text, numbers, a mix, etc.?

Thanks in advance for your help!
