9750 hissing sound

BigTrouble mentioned in his review that the headphones are useless due to a hissing sound. Do other 9750 Sager owners experience the same thing?

Thank you

Yeah. To some extent we all do. The onboard sound is horrible.

Is there any workaround this problem other than spending more money on a pcmcia sound card?

I listen to music at work using headphones and it kind of upsets me that a 3k-4k computer didn't get the soundcard right.

I've never really heard a laptop that had good sound.
The Audigy 2 ZS is pretty decent and really is not that expensive comparitively. It does not have a ton of amp power, but it will blow away almost any onboard laptop sound card in quality by a huge margin.

on the 98xx, turning off the IR port really helps with the sound quality through the headphone jack. Anyways, it worked for me on my 9860.
Its worth a looksie...
