Well, this looks like a BF2 ripoff but, hey, Splah Damage and ID teaming up again? Sounds good to me! Check out the trailer...

Probably around what quake 4 system requirments are, I can run quake 4 great on my xps on 1440x900 with some AA so Im not worried about it.

Many games that are out now are XPS2 killers. :-) No sense worrying about it, most modern games require more hardware than is available when they ship.

accept the mid or low setting and you'll get away with a lot o money

Stick a 7800 gtx in the xps2 and you can run any game out there at nice settings.

I can't find any games that's a 7800GTX killer yet. :-) Maybe an attempted killer (FEAR at max rez), but other than that, nope, still going strong.

I suspect game devlopers design games for the "next" generation of GPU's - this way the game can improve as technology advances and thus the game won't be considered outdated for a while. The down side of course is that a brand new game can often choke high end GPU's if resolution and all the eye candy are all maxed out.
