m170 bios work in a xps gen2?

if you have an xps gen2 and updated your bios to the xps m170 bios, would it work? it sounds crazy but i wonder....

Uh, lol ^^. There is no m170 BIOS, theres only a gen-2 BIOS, isn't it like that?

Nope, it just changed the name. Exact same machine, only with 7800 GO support.

Although with the A05 BIOS (and perhaps the A04 too) the Gen2 has 7800 support, it's just that with the introduction of the 7800 they wanted to launch a new product to promote it more...

Just to clarify...I had my mainboard replaced and the tech re-installed my 7800 in it, I asked him if the new/refurbished mainboard he was installing would have the latest (A05) Bios and he said it would....anyway turns out it didn't...it had A01 yet the 7800 and everything else booted up fine...

edit- and i compared the revisions of both boards and they were the same..
