Help loading Window files into Apple

Thread Starter
my niece got a new iMac G5 for Christmas, however, she wants to transfer all her photos and music files from her Dell desktop. What's the best way or file format? If we burn everything to CDs, will Apple read it?

Thanks!

Yes it will. It will be better if you can burn a DVD. More storage.
I think there is a way you can do without it. You can browse at the apple website and there is a tutorial on how to do it.

the easy way is to burn a DVD, or transfer it to an external hdd and then transfer it back.

or you can do a direct usb (or eithernet) PC-to-PC connection and transfer all your files that way.

don't think of a mac as an alien body... a computer is a damn computer regardless of what it does (or doesn't do)

You could transfer through a wireless network if you have one set-up.
