Tweaking x300 and settings for F.E.A.R and Doom 3?

Hey guys I'm looking for some good tweaking settings for my x300 and settings for running mainly FEAR.

My vid card (128mb) is clocked at 400/300. 1.25gig ram, 100gig 5400rpm hd, 2ghz P M.

What do you guys have tweaked in settings for your vid card? I have AA at 2x and AF at 4x without "application preference" I'm not sure if this is good or not.

Also, what settings/tweaks do you guys have for the game F.E.A.R?

all max bar shadows 4aa4af.

1024x768

no game specific tweaks

James I think it was you that posted in an earlier thread and showed screenshots.

I don't know how you did it, but if I max everything out and just turn shadows off, when I do the benchmark, I get horrible results. Somewhere in the vicinity of 11-25fps.

Can you possibly get a screenshot of all yoru settings? For example, I remember one option was bilenear, trilenear, etc.

Right now I only have 512mb ram, but my 1gig chip should be here Monday. We'll see how much diff that makes

i have the x300, your not going to be able run max settings on fear, ive never tried toom 3, but i doubt it can.

With another gig you will see an increase in performance for sure, trying to run either of those games with only 512 would be rough.

So the extra ram will make that much of a difference? I can't wait to see how 1.25gigs runs. Don't worry though, I won't get too excited, afterall it is just an x300

sorry i cant post more, its not on the pc anymore. but rest assured all was maxxed bar shadows. even EAX hardware mixing was on.

20-25 fps. fine as far as im concerned

my doom settings goto 10x7. thats with 2x aa 2x af. any higher, and it lags when doors pop open.

the x300 is a decent "casual Gamer" but not a pretty effects one.

all max with 4x aa and 4x af.. any higher is a bit overkill for the x300.

I get around 23 - 35 fps in d3.. around 20 - 35 in fear
