I recently upgraded the battery on my Acer Aspire 3003 from a 4 cell 2000mah to an 8 cell 4000 mah. The new battery seems to work and provides 2 hours of power, but it never gets over 55% charged (according to the power meter in XP) and is always charging. I'm concerned that the constant charging will eventually kill the battery. Does anyone know if this is an XP issue, a laptop hardware issue or a battery issue? Anyway to fix? Thanks for any suggestions.
