Which Intel mobile processors are 64-bit CPU's?

Thread Starter
Hi,

I am deciding between the Inspiron 9400 with the IntelCore Duo T600 (2.16 Ghz) and the XPS-M170 with the Intel Pentium M 770 (21.13 Ghz).

Can anyone tell me are these both 64-bit processors? I know they should both run Windows Vista if there is 1Gb of RAM and a decent graphics card...

thanks for any help with this - I just want to be sure I can make the move to 64-bit mobile computing without having to buy a new laptop in a couple of years...as for this kind of money, I want at least 4 or 5 years of use ...

thanks

Philip

Neither of them is 64-bit. The core duo is dual core processor. The Pentium M is single core. Both are 32-bit.

The 64-bit Pentium M (Merom) will be out late '06 i think, if u wanna wait till then

Yeah, better get a hyrdogen fuel cell to power that bad boy and a cooling tower installed to dissipate the heat from it.

It is 64-bit though.
