Drivers are just like any other software. Programmers find either bugs to fix or put in improvements. That is why you need updated drivers. For video drivers you uninstall the old one, reboot, then install the new one. If you have an Alienware, you should call tech support for help if you are so unsure what you are doing. DON'T MESS WITH THE BIOS OR CHIPSET DRIVERS without their help or you risk your warranty.

does upgrading the drivers void the warranty like updating the bios?

At this time I'd like to thank all of u who helped me with my questions on my m7700. FEAR ran awesome on it, the graphix are superb with no video lag (that game was the first to scare the shit out of me btw...and it was just the free demo....shhhh).

If any of u are still hesitating about buying an m7700...DONT!
BUY IT AND BE HAPPY! the quicker u click "add to cart" the quicker ule be rubbing that silky smooth cover I stare at my lappy for at least 5 seconds everytime i go into the room its in. (Its like time stops to enjoi it) And trust me, u will too for a long time after u get ures.

Just a message from a very happy guy (i just wanted to release wut ive experienced in the past week)

you can run 3dmark05, it's a smaller file and you should be hitting 6700+ w/out any OCing, and close to 7600+ or 8K if you OC
