any benchmarks between, 81.98, 81.97, 82.12, & 82.65?
wouldn't that be nice? Wanna do some benchmarks? ^^

This 82.65 driver gives me the same texture corruption erros in guildwars as the old 81.xx drivers. i was using the 82.12's with no problems. i used driver celaner in safe mode... yada yada yada.. doing the same thing now but installing the 81.97's

update. installed 81.97. this driver does not have the guildwars texture corruption.. furthermore the textures look sharper and overall the IQ is alot better.

performance seems about the same, it might be just hair more fluid moving than the dell driver.

take my advice and use the 81.97 if you play guildwars.

great driver tony. thanks a ton.!

still using 81.98s from tony, tried the 81.97s but for the same GPU clocks, it ran hotter and artifacted

max out @ 101deg C with 81.98s and clocks 440/1200 467average FPS with ATItool 0.25 b11

(happy with that! and sticking with it for now)

Maybe it's just because I've been away from it too long, but I tried the 81.87's when I plugged my 7800GTX back in yesterday and I thought F.E.A.R. looked worse than with the 81.98's. I'm going to load the 81.98's and see if my eyes are just messed up .

I thought this bug had been fixed, where the floor texture takes the form of arches. Thought print makes screenshots, apparently not >-<

Dramatic temp fluctuations http://www.notebookforums.com/images/smilies/huh.gif

Hey all,

First time to post...

Specs:
E1705
2ghz core duo
1gb
7800go
Clean XP Pro install

Xtreme-G 81.97

Performance is great in all games with these drivers. However, when within windows and simply browsing the net, word processing, and doing simple tasks that place minimal load on CPU and 7800 go, my temps will randomly skyrocket from idle 58C to upwards of 70C. This isn't that bad except that my fans kick in and out and it's kind of annoying, especially knowing that the card should be stable at 58-60C unless I'm gaming.

Is there a bug in this particular driver version? Should I change drivers? Anything I did specifically to cause this possibly?

Any advice would greatly help! Thanks everyone.

Andrew

Why are we talking about 81.**? I thought we were using 83.20 or 83.6*?

Hi Verbatim,

Are you using 83.20? 83.6*?

Are you having any dramatic temp fluctuations?

Please let me know as I'd definitely change drivers seeing as how we have the identical setup.
