I was wondering if any one has tried using DViCO FusionHDTV5 USB HDTV tuner with there laptop and mce2005?

I ordered the slingbox and it sounds great, don’t know if it will record shows to be watched later like windows mce2005? Hope it works with mce

This review shows DViCO FusionHDTV5 USB to work easy with mce2005 and outstanding picture better then ati

The current slingplayer software doesn't allow for recording although people have been using third-party apps in order to record the stream: http://www.slingcommunity.com/forum/.../10384/?page=1

Thanks.
i installed the slingbox today .This thing is so cool . Then i find out my router with firewall wont work with it i think something to do with it needing a firmware upgrade . Could get the firmware to install. Typed in http// and my ip. all i got was can not display screen. Oh well time for new router. This time i make it simple and get one with out firewall. Any way --- it did work over the router just not over the internet and i will say that the picture looked amazing on my xps gen2 better then DVD . Hope it looks that good over the internet and wireless. Off i go to find a router.

If you ever use the slingplayer software on your notebook using S-video/DVI/VGA out with the lid closed, check out the above post on how you can configure the notebook front-panel media keys to control slingplayer.

P.S. How's your slinging experience going?
