Aviator Gx7 Memory problems

Just wanted some opinions:
I've had a GX7 for about a year and already went through 2 512mb memory sticks. First one went after 7 months and second went recently (about a year). Any ideas why crapped out? My other inquery concerns purchasing new memory for my rig, am I obliged to buy Hypersonic memory at $90 a pop or can i buy another brand from newegg or other company at a considerably lower cost? Please help, otherwise love the rig. SM

For the first part of your question - you may need to ask tech support. I am not quite sure what would cause that problem.

That said, the second part is no. You are not obligated to purchase the memory from Hypersonic. It is advised to ensure you are getting the right type of memory for your system. Since you are not going to be adding to what you have, this is a bit easier. I purchase additional memory for both my EX7 and GX7.

Good luck!

thanks

Appreciate the reply, only feedback I got from tech support was that the computer runs hot and may "wear out" the memory sticks earlier than normal.

Are you running mobile meter on the system? If so, what are your temps? On my GX7, I was averaging around 47 degrees idle and around 61 or so in gaming (it has been awhile). Just wondering how yours is handling.
