A couple of DV8000Z questions

I'm pretty sure I will be ordering a DV8000Z later this week. The increase in size and weight is so insignificant IMO, especially when you sit the DV8000Z next to the typical 15.4". Anyway, I will be upgrading the memory myself since HP customization has a maximum of 1 GB RAM. Before I order memory, I will need to buy 200 pin DDR 333 RAM, correct?

Also, the HP comes with MS Works as standard software. Microsoft's website says I can buy the upgrade version of Office 2003 Professional if I already have a recent version of MS Works. Have any of you run into a problem using an upgrade version of Office when Works has been preinstalled? It would sure be nice to save $140 (plus a $75 MS rebate).

Last question. Having a hard time deciding between the Turion 2.2 GHz and the 2.4 GHz. Is there any noticeable gain in performance with the 2.4, or should I save $175 and stick with the 2.2? I suspect there is not much gain in performance...

I'm not sure about the ram (I'm looking for some my self but not sure what to get or what brand is best)

I know the 2.4 would be best ( I read some thing o n laptop buying, that you should get the best you can, that you could not upgrade later)

I got the 2.4 with one hard drive since I can buy and put in another one when I have more cash.
