why didnt you bondo the holes between hte white stuff on the outside of the lcd back and hte silver? Wouldnt that give it a smoother look? I was thinking about doing that, but i want to hear why you decided to just leave the holes there.

ok what did you use to apply the auto paint, I have a small compressor and can easilly get a sprayer for it. but I am not experienced enough to just try to stumble through it.

Those are the bumpers for your LCD so it doesn't scratch the palmrest. Also, the screws for taking the LCD cover off are under that, so it wouldn't be a good idea to seal those in .

wow , that is just absolutely beautiful paint application. A+ job my man, you've definitely sparked me to look into doing something like this myself .

I saw that .. I was just browsing ebay for teh current XPS/9300 line and saw the custom painted system. Again.. nice job!

i meant the ridges on the back of the lcd.
