Does anyone know if it is possible to change the internal sd card reader in the xps gen 2 into a multi card reader, like the ones available in newer dell notebooks.

i would imagine only with a E1705 motherboard. and we are in the dark right now as of upgradability between 9300/xps's and the new mobos.

I dont think so, though the next model will have a five in one reader, with all the small external multi card readers out on the market, you could get a really good one im sure for less than trying to buy an internal laptop part. Doesnt seem worth the hassle when you can plug in a lil external to a USB port and VOILA, no assembly/dissasembly required!!

Could also get a PC Card reader. Not many other things to use it for since most of the devices you can get for it are already built into the laptop.
