Hey guys, who makes these notebooks? Are they reliable? I'm looking at buying the 3200 series, which is the 12.1" model. They seem rather mid-range in price, but have all of the things I'm looking for. Any input on them?

Thanks

Will

My girlfriend has a 3200 and she loves it. Its solid and is great for what it can do...of course no gaming. BUt for work/internet crap.....its more than perfect.

They're pretty nice notebooks. Not for super high end gaming or graphics rendering. My uncle has one and it performs very well. And its got a very nice screen.

not sure who is behind the 3200, but i know Uniwill is one of the ODMs they use.

for example, the 6100A:

and from my experience with Uniwill, they are a pretty nice mid-range builder, in the same ballpark as Compal i would say.

Alright, thanks fellas. That's exactly what I was looking to hear. I just want something with some options, but I don't do computer gaming, so this will work perfectly. Just want a thin and light unit.

Thanks again

thats exactly what my girlfriend wanted with her 3200 series. and of course on top of that she wanted cheap! haha but not Dell cheap. She likes it, the only problems she has had with it is the video driver stops responding after hibernation, but a reformat shoudl slove that, just havent gotten aroudn to it, and the paint wears off very easily.
